Cookie Policy

Draft pending legal review. This document describes how AVYRA actually works and is published so the product is not shipped with an empty policy. It has not been reviewed by an advocate. Replace it through Admin → Content before public launch.
This page lists what AVYRA stores on your device and why. "Cookies" here covers cookies and the equivalent browser storage the app uses.
Your choice
The banner you saw on your first visit sets your preference. Necessary storage cannot be turned off — without it you cannot stay signed in and the site cannot remember your language. Analytics is off until you agree to it, and you can change your mind at any time through Manage cookies at the bottom of any page.
What is necessary

What is optional
Analytics. Only if you agree. It counts which pages people arrive on and where they go, so we can tell what is working. It is not used for advertising, it does not build a profile of you, and it is not connected to your AVYRA account.
Advertising
Ads shown inside the app are chosen from information you have already given AVYRA — your university and your interests. Advertisers do not receive your identity, your photos, or your messages, and no third-party advertising cookie is set on your device.
Turning them off in your browser
Every browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. Blocking the necessary ones will sign you out and reset your language.
