How it works
1. Verify that you are a student
Sign up with your university email address and click the link we send you. If your university's domain is one we have confirmed, that is the whole process — you are verified in under a minute.
If your university is not on that list yet, or you would rather not use your student address, take a selfie instead. A reviewer compares it against your profile photos, usually within a few hours. You will get a notification either way.
You must be 18 or over. This is checked at signup and is not negotiable.
2. Build a profile
Photos, a short bio, your campus and your course. The more specific you are, the better the matches — "third-year law at Parklands, looking for someone to argue with" tells people far more than "love travelling".
You choose what is visible. Your course and campus can be hidden if you would rather they were.
3. Meet people
AVYRA shows you students at your university first, then nearby campuses. You can widen or narrow that.
When two people both like each other, a conversation opens. Nobody can message you until you have matched, so there is no inbox full of strangers.
4. Meet safely
Before a first date, use Share My Date to tell a friend where you are going. Meet somewhere public. If somebody makes you uncomfortable, block them — they will not know, and they will not be able to find you again.
What it costs
If you are a verified student, nothing. If you are not, there is a trial and then a paid plan. See pricing.
